Dads Prayer

Gentlemen:

Another important week to be faithful in prayer to our Father for FCS and its part in what He is doing in the Kingdom of God on Earth:

Pray for the upcoming Mission Trip, they are leaving on Saturday for China, Tammi, Paula, Cindy and Dr. Miller are as excited as the seniors as they look forward to what God will do on the other side of the earth.
Think about the kingdom of God being advanced and seeds of the Gospel being sown through a small band of crazy Americans riding bikes. Little is indeed much in God's eyes.

Pray for Dan Brown who also leaves on Saturday for mission trip to Ghana, another excited child of God! Pray our hearts may be spurred to be used for the Kingdom!

Pray for School Board as they continue to seek the Lords will concerning the purchase of land for future school buildings and fields.

Pray for the remainder of school as they go into spiritual emphasis week, that those who have never received salvation may respond to the Holy Spirit, and those that have may be renewed in their devotion and commitment.

More to follow on specifics for prayer on Mission Trip.

PRAY ON!

That the Holy Spirit would lead as he is impressing on Tom Hess and others the need for members in each school to begin to gather to pray . Ephesians tells us to put on the whole armor of God so we can stand against the schemes of the enemy and that we should be diligent to preserve the unity that we have in the Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ.

. Pray for God to provide opportunities for students and parents, teachers and administrators to build bridges with their counterparts in other schools. How exciting to think and pray for God to do something that most of us see as impossible!!!

. Pray for LTC(P) Bruce Parker as he accepts greater responsibility in new command assignment at Fort Bragg. Pray for him and other dads and moms who are serving in harms way for the freedoms that we are blessed with in this country.

. For God's grace to minister to students and families who have been disciplined this week. Especially those who were asked to leave our school.
May they see that God disciplines us for our own good as a Father his children. (Heb 12). Pray for strength for teachers and parents for as they seek to maintain proper order and atmosphere at FCS. All discipline at the time is unpleasant, but will eventually yield the fruit of righteousness.

.For God grace and presence to continue be with the Britt family

. Pray for our Seniors as they finish the year, that they may stay focused and finish well. That God will complete His purposes for their stay at FCS.
If there are any who do not have salvation that they may call on the Lord and receive the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord! Pray that God will prepare our students lives for the upcoming mission trip to China and for the souls of those they will encounter in China. May the Kingdom of God be expanded as a result of the trip!

Gentlemen:

All right men, a lot of taskers this week, remember not to lose heart, let God's word strengthen our hearts and commitment to pray for what He is doing at FCS! Our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. for momentary light affliction is producing an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the things that are seen, but at the things that are unseen, for the things that are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Dads Prayer - Gentlemen:

Our Father in faithful is calling us this week to to be faithful ;to labor and strive in prayer for what HE is doing at FCS. Remember as we fix our hope on His appearing that He is a living God ,and He is living in those students, teachers, family and staff who are seeking Him with all their heart, and are listening to His voice and who are serving Him and allowing His Spirit to live and work through them at FCS. Remember this week:
For God's healing for a high school family member's cancer.
Thank the Lord for answering our call for elementary school principle for next year.
For Mission trip, prepare the hearts of our students and staff, for those souls who God will touch through the students.
For upcoming Spiritual Missions Trip'
For FCS students who have responded to God's truth and have been saved this year that they be nourished through the words of faith as our students and staff help teach them the word of God.
For the ministry of the Word of God at FCS. That the living word might have it's influence in every square inch, every aspect of what happens daily at the school , and that it might continue to transform and change everyone, student, staff, parents, alumni, community that comes in contact with FCS!
For God to lead and and use our students powerfully for His glory as they seek to bring together students form other schools for the purpose of calling out to God in prayer.

Gentlemen:

Do not grow weary...does it do any good for you and me to
offer a prayer for a specific student , or teacher, or parent??? Ask
the teachers ...they will answer in the affirmative. A simple way to
involve your family and to remember, is to simply ask our Father at
your meal time prayer " ... and please bless Fayetteville Christian School!"

This week:

Pray for Pastor Benjie Speers at the Church of Open Door for God to
give Him physical healing and health. We have had many families at our
School that attend that Church.
Some of you "old timers" will remember that our junior high used to be
at the Church back in 88-89.

Pray for Jeremy Gaines family, Mom and Dad and sister...that we as
school family will remember to continue to be a blessing to them.

Pray for the students who have returned from " Acquire the Fire" who
are now following through with serving God. They were challenged to
make an impact for the kingdom here at FCS and in community. Some are
going out using the media to share the gospel.

Pray for a great day of community spirit and Christian fellowship and
the Lord's Blessing for this Saturday and Fall Festival.

PRAY ON!

Call to Battle! All Fathers of FCS-Attack!

As the father of two children who have graduated from FCS, deep in my heart I realize that like John “ I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.”  That is still my prayer and cry to God. I believe in some aspect it is the reason most of you are sending your children to FCS.  Dads, we are in a battle for the hearts and minds of our children. It is a spiritual battle.  Ephesians 6:12 says, “We are not struggling against flesh and blood, but against rulers, against authorities, against the powers of this dark work and the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.  We need to fight fire with fire!  II Cor 10:4, “The weapons we fight with are not weapons of the world.  On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. One of these weapons is prayer!

I am tired of being a wimp and not confronting the giants that are destroying the souls of our children. I read in I Samuel that when David was preparing to meet Goliath he approached the great giant and did not put on Saul’s armor but declared, “You come to me with sword, spear and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord Almighty”.  He put his enemy in perspective.  As Goliath moved closer to attack, David quickly ran out to meet him. The ordinary Shepard boy- attacked!

It is time for us to attack the giant! Please join me and other Dad’s in prayer. It’s easy to remember the time and place-every Friday that your child goes to school-we will pray at FCS from 6:00 am-6:45 am-when school is out of session you can do individual maintenance on your “Battle Rattle
