4th Grade Home Page Info Fourth grade is an exciting year at FCS! Traveling across the soccer field is a great accomplishment. In 4th grade, we use curriculum published by Abeka, Bob Jones, Saxon, and ACSI. We have hands-on experiments in science and visit local museums to enhance our study of North Carolina social studies. This year, we plan to visit the Tryon Palace in New Bern and also a working ranch near Wallace. The students enjoy their resource classes which include computer lab, art, chorus, band, library, and physical education. Their reading skills are encouraged by an active Accelerated Reader program. We are learning to understand the great doctrines of the Holy Bible in our Bible class and attend weekly chapels. The students are encouraged to be good stewards and servants of Jesus Christ through the support of foreign missionaries with their offerings and praying for our senior class missionaries, Christmas boxes, and other service projects throughout the year. We have a great time with Valentine parties, Thanksgiving and Christmas activities, individual birthdays, and remembering our grandparents on Grandparents’ Day. The fourth grade is a busy and productive year!
