Two New Daycares Set To Open This Fall
You have heard me mention that we were looking into the possibility of
opening new daycares around town.
The School Board and I have prayerfully been seeking the Lord’s leading in
this venture as we have diligently investigated the options.
The doors continued to open for us and
we were approached
by two separate developers who had heard we were considering this.
They offered to build the centers for us with
no capital expense outlaid from the school.
I have also been approached by several who would like to direct the centers.
Then, to top it off, when in Colorado over the Christmas break, I
mentioned to my sister we were considering opening daycares. She said, “Oh,
that’s what Colorado Christian Springs Christian School,
CSCS,
does. CSCS is the largest Christian
School in the area, and they have four off campus daycare centers.”
After speaking with them and gleaning insights from them, we feel
confident that the Lord is clearly opening the doors for us to proceed.
So, the FCS
Development Committee and I have been working with the architects in
designing the two centers. They will
be state of the art centers featuring the most innovation designs in daycare
centers with indoor playgrounds. The
first will be on Pamalee Drive near Green Valley Estates and the other will
be on Raeford Rd. near Parker United Methodist Church.
If everything continues to proceed, both
should open
the fall.
Both centers will accommodate 200 children age 0-4 years.
We have plans to open two additional centers the following year.
Families who enroll
their child in a center will get a 15% discount if all their school age
children are enrolled at FCS and lead teachers in the centers will receive a
25% tuition discount. Early
pre-registration
will begin as soon as the buildings start to go up, probably in March.
We are anticipating
it will take a year for the centers to reach their maximum capacity.
The profits will benefit FCS and generate more cash flow so that we
can raise teachers salaries, offer tuition assistant to low income families,
and begin work on developing a new campus.
The building committee is already at work developing plans for the
new facility. We are still waiting
on word about the 30 acres we are trying to purchase (or hopefully donated
to us) off of Hoke Loop Road.
Keep
us
in your prayers as we trust God to provide the Godly and loving teachers we
need and the children to fill them up!
And keep the entire development team in your prayers as we work
towards building a new campus and securing the future of FCS.
Many of you may be
invited to special meetings where you can hear how you can help FCS fulfill
its mission.
