ATHLETICS
Outside of the classroom, Fayetteville Christian students have the opportunity to participate in interscholastic athletic events. We are regular contenders in Division 2 state championship games and overall rank in the top tier of all Division 2 private schools for overall sports achievement.
Our coaches teach the fundamentals of each sport while also instilling Christian principles, a strong sense of sportsmanship, team play and a solid work ethic.
Shannon Holmes began as the Director of Athletics in 2010. Originally from Alabama, Mr. Holmes graduated from Jacksonville State University with a B.S. in Management. He then attended New Orleans Theological Seminary and Trinity Theological Seminary, graduating with a Masters in Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry degree. Shannon and his wife Susan have been married for 17 years and they have one daughter AnnaLeigh. Mr. Holmes has been blessed to serve previously in several ministry capacities. He has served churches as a senior pastor and executive pastor, as well as serving as a missionary with the North American Mission Board. This is the second occasion that Shannon and Susan have served together in a Christian school ministry. They previously served on the administration/faculty of North Florida Christian School in Tallahassee, FL. Shannon's life verse is Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."
