Attention All Parents:
I need to address a small problem we have with our after school events and games. Please be here on time when picking up your child after away games or school activities. Our Teachers and coaches are doing us all a great service in spending their free time to take our children to games or activities. It is unfair to them to have to wait 15-30 minutes and sometimes an hour for a parent to show up to pick up their child. After all, they are tired too after these activities and they have their own families waiting on them. I know one complaint is that we sometimes come home later than the posted time from athletic games. We give our best guess on what time we will be back but we cannot control the time a game takes. We do tell kids on the way home to call their parents to let them know we are running late and what time we expect to be home. We even allow them to use our cell phones. Most kids call but some do not. But even then some parents come late. For this reason, parents who pick up their children late will be billed a late fee and we will compensate the teacher or coach for their time. The fee is $10 for every fifteen minutes and will be posted on your school bill.
