Fayetteville Christian School

Frequently Asked Questions

How large are your classes?

Our class sizes range from 16 students in PreK to 24 students per class grades 3 and up.

What credentials do your teachers have?

Our teachers must be certified by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).  Forty percent of the high school staff possess Masters level degrees.

Is your school accredited?

Fayetteville Christian School received ACSI accreditation in June of 1999 and SACS accreditation in April of 2002.  ACSI stands for the Association of Christian Schools International, the largest Christian school accreditation organization in the world with 4800 members and a combined student enrollment of over 1 million.  SACS stands for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and is the largest private school organization.  Accredited schools must pass a stringent evaluation by professionals over programs and curriculum.

My child is applying for kindergarten.  Does he need a teacher recommendation?

No, a teacher recommendation is only needed if a child has previously been in a school setting.

We are not moving here until the summer; how can I complete my interview?

After successfully completing the application process up to the point of the interview (and possibly entrance testing), we will hold the student's place in a grade until you have moved and are able to complete the interview.

What curriculum do you use?

We use a variety of publisher's textbooks.  In the elementary school, we use Sing, Spell, Read, Write, Bob Jones Reading, Houghton Mifflin English, Abeka Social Studies, Science, and Spelling, D'Nealian Handwriting, and ACSI Bible.  In Pre-K we use Alphabet Phonics

Do you have Before and After School Care?

Yes, for elementary school we offer care.  Go to the BAC form on the menu.
