WORLD HISTORY
This course paints a broad brush over the entire span of human history from the fall of Adam to the end of the 20th century. Along the way, students will be covering the context of many events that have shaped the world we live in today including the study of ancient civilizations, the times of Jesus Christ, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and Reformation, the Industrial Revolution and the Cold War. Students will finish the year working on a Medieval Festival which they will present to the school.
US HISTORY
The purpose of this course will be to give students a working understanding of the history of the United States from the period of Reconstruction following the American Civil War to the present. During the first semester, we will endeavor to cover Recostruction through the Roaring Twenties. The
second semester will look at the problems of the Thirties through World War II, The Korean Conflict and Viet Nam. During the course of our studies, we will endeavor to show God's working in America and the world.
CIVICS
The purpose of this course will be to introduce the student to a working understanding of the government and economics of the United States of America. The course will consider the workings of himan government as instituted under God, and the student will be brought to an awareness of the workings of a free enterprise economic system.
