ACADEMIC FOUNDATION
If you are looking for an academically sound but vibrant and energetic junior high program, look no further! FCS has a junior high with 150 students who excel in all disciplines, but most importantly, excel in becoming disciples of Christ.
Teachers engage students and seek to develop a love of learning. Academic "stars" are encouraged with competitions such as spelling bees, Math Olympics, and the Science Olympiad. A Junior High Student Council is elected by the student body to give leadership for social and service events. Top students are invited to be part of the Junior High School "Honors Program". The honors program offers a more rigorous and in-depth study of the subject.
Spiritually, we aim to develop our students into responsible, loving and caring Christians in and out of the classroom. Through daily Bible classes and weekly chapels, the focus is on character and doing the right thing, and ultimately shaping the Christians of tomorrow.
Solid academic preparation with a biblical worldview is the hallmark of the junior-senior high school program. The foundation of the program includes the core subjects of Bible, English, math, social studies, and science interwoven with instruction in computer technology, fine arts, and physical education.
In addition, voluntary participation in one of our competitive JV or varsity-level teams, student government, community service projects, or various clubs and other organizations further enrich the total high school experience.
We encourage spiritual growth with weekly chapels and outstanding speakers and messages. As a by-product of this growth, we emphasize outreach to our community by ministering to senior citizens, food banks, hospital patients and the needy.
Our goal of educating the total person for the glory of God is confirmed by high academic test scores, regular selection of students to National Merit Scholars positions, and acceptance by our graduates at selective universities around the nation. Our graduates continue to serve the Lord in Christian ministries on their college campuses, communities, and abroad in foreign missions.
