6TH GRADE BIBLE
Students are required to have a N.I.V. Bible as all scripture memory will come from that version of the Bible. Students will be required to memorize scripture verses, about one a week, sometimes writing and sometimes verbally quoting the verse. A journal will be kept to write thoughts and observations from Bible studies. A study of 16 different Characteristics that are important to learn for effective Christian living will be done throughout the year.
7TH GRADE BIBLE
The curriculum used for Bible class is Route 66, Travel Through The Bible. The student will understand Scripture and Scriptural principles as a whole. Students will be introduced to the context of each book of the Bible. Students will trace the major landmarks as we journey through the Scripture, while at the same time examining their personal life to grow in their commitment to Jesus Christ.
8TH GRADE BIBLE
The curriculum used for Bible class is Survival Quest, Volume One. Students will study various Biblical characters and how they survived through a myriad of trials. Some biblical characters “survived” in a positive manner and others had to learn the hard way. Integrating these survival traits into the student’s daily life is the goal of this class. A few of the survival traits that will be studied are temptation, broken relationships, rejection, peer pressure, family stress, unknown future, having a critical spirit, self control, and several others. A few Biblical characters that will be looked at are Adam and Eve, Barnabas, Joshua, Mary, Ruth, and David.
