Yearbook dynamic approach gains national recognition - Fayetteville Observer - 1/23/10

The Fayetteville Christian School Journalism Program Receives National Awards
The American Scholastic Press Association awarded Fayetteville Christian School a National FIRST PLACE honor and additionally selected them as the MOST OUTSTANDING yearbook in their division in the 2009 Scholastic Yearbook Special Category Awards. The 2009 Centurion Staff was acknowledged because their publication showed excellence in the fields of writing, photography, and page design.
The Fayetteville Christian School journalism staff, made up of junior high and senior high school students, work with advisor Ms. Disa Perry to publish their annual yearbook, Centurion, in addition to producing their news magazine, The Warrior.
Fayetteville Christian found their name among the best and the brightest in The American Scholastic Journalist, which lists all international scholastic awards.
The American Scholastic Press Association holds an annual contest for scholastic yearbooks, magazines and other publications. This competition and review is open to public and private colleges, universities, junior/community colleges, junior high schools, intermediate schools, and high schools across the United States of America.
