At this summer camp, students will be integrating their literacy skills with areas of science and math, while

using critical thinking to engineer tangible products, and document their projects using technological tools. It is a

full immersion of cross curricular skills!  There will be a different lesson each day that will begin with a 10 minute team

building STEM Challenge.  Students will work together to overcome an obstacle in a limited time frame.  After the students are warmed up, they will be guided through an interactive read aloud of a book that we’ll use for the basis of our projects and activities for that day.  Students will work in a team to identify a problem in the story either with the character, a problem in nature, or a structural problem.
